We will be demonstrating weaving and/or spinning and also have fiber, fiber products and other llama related items for sale at these upcoming venues in 2023. We will also have llama products from WBF Llamas as the llamas actually live at Graustark!

We are excited about our future growth in opening GF FiberWorks.  The new studio will showcase antique and traditional spinning wheels, looms and other fiber processing tools along with our own home grown fibers for other spinners and weavers to see and use in a retreat or educational format. The name "Graustark" is taken from a series of fictional books written in the late
19th-early 20th centuries.  These were adventure stories of a fictional Baltic European country whose foundations were built on love, honor, courage, and integrity.

"Graustark" means gray fortress, stronghold, or refuge.
Psalm 91:2 states, "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Whom I shall trust".
Graustark Farm LLC is built on those same kinds of foundations that come from putting our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and we celebrate the many blessings that He has given us.  Our llamas bring us much joy and we love to share with anyone who is interested!

 

Graustark Farm LLC has been dedicated to producing friendly, well-trained llamas with correct conformation and silky fiber. Our small llama herd comes from a foundation of nationally known bloodlines. Limited breedings to our herd sire can still be purchased.  

Our animals are individual and special to us and we strive to provide education and support for both enthusiasts and new owners. We work with our animals to establish their trust in us as their caregivers.  

Our breeding program created llamas which produce soft, silky fiber. We call it our fiber of faith, representing our faith in our creator and in these beautiful animals. Joyfully, we are able to use this in various felting, spinning, and weaving projects that we make available for purchase. Our products are created on traditional tools using both classic and our own original designs.

Graustark Farm LLC is located in northern Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Visitors are always welcome by appointment, we love to celebrate and share our joys and blessings. Due to such a great demand on our time- we are now asking for a donation for our farm tours. See the What's New page for details.
